Thank you to the IHSSA participants and spectators for their prompt response to law enforcement's instructions to evacuate Ankeny Centennial High School during the Iowa High School State Large Group Speech Contest. We also want to thank the quick response from partners at the Ankeny Police Department, Johnston Police Department, and the Iowa State Fire Marshal to ensure the safety of the building.
Law enforcement conducted an investigation, identifying the individuals involved. Based on the interviews, it was determined that there was no credible threat to the building.
Anyone who had belongings in the building can retrieve them at the following times:

Saturday, February 3: 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Sunday, February 4: 8-11 a.m.
Spectators should use the main entrance on the east side of the building.
Busses and school vehicles should use door E45, which will be slightly to the north of the main entrance on the east side of the building.
